    How I miss Mocha

Post by Steffy19 on Fri Jun 04, 2010 5:30 pm

I remember right around this time I bought a pom named mocha. She was so beautiful to me. Breeder promised she was the best and a quality show dog. Found out she had a hypoglocimia condition that she never told us about. Called her and told her she recommented kyro syrup. She became worse to the point where she would lay and wouldnt move and wouldnt eat a drop of food. Took her to the vet but that day she became better so the doc didnt get a chance to see how bad the condition was. He gave us a certain type of food to give her. Didnt realize the food he gave us wasnt any help. The signs dissappared for 3 months. Around November She had another attack and by the time we ran to the vet. She already passed away. I told the breeder this sence we paid 1500 for her. Breeder was sympathtic. She offered us another dog free but after we get him a few months later she demanded 600 dollers. We told her we couldnt aford anything like that. She then called the vet and asked him how did we treat the dog. The vet then told her when he saw her before she died she was very healthy. She then sent me a letter stating she recorded the doctor on her phone, she demands 600 dollers, and that i would make the worse breeder on the planet. She then said i was slandering her name and emailed me a lot of nasty emails. I was so angry and upset. Mocha had the best and i loved her dearly. Because of the breeders not telling us she had this problem. We didnt know anything about the condition. I then got a few emails from her stating i fed her food to kill her because it wasnt puppy chow. I fed her science diet witha lil rice to stimulate her to eat. I hope mocha can rest in peace now that she is gone. If only i had of known more about hypoglocimea I could of known a better way to save her. Sometimes i do blame my self because I should of gave her back the day she had hypoglocimea but I wanted to keep her.
Hope ure in a better place mocha.

wow. That's really messed up Steffy. IDK what else to say.
I'm sure that Mocha is in a good place. It sounded like she was in a good place before she left.

My Tabby, Russia that I had a few years back turned out to be the same way. The wife found him limp in his litter box and he passed on the way to the vet on post. God the wife was a mess after that.

yah it was horrible I read so much about hypoglocimea. The breeder tryed to tell me no dog can die from it. Its the biggest lie. Had a talk with the vet. Its a chance u take when you get a dog with hypoglocimea. Can happen to any dog that comes out smaller than It should. I ofc didnt know that. I swear if i knew i would of gave her back but i loved her at first site. It was worth it. Now iam very cautious about where i buy a dog from. Has to be the regular size and not smaller than it should.

Sad. The breeder should have told you in the first place. This is one of the reasons why we should research on the breeder first and I think we should deal with trusted breeders. Mocha now rests and is now free.
