do you think there are there any special "quirks" with personality/coat etc associated with particular or different colours...you know like different temperaments for different colours? does that make sense? eg some coats easier to manage than others/? just curious! they all beautiful !

Is it better to keep to same/same colour when breeding, or does it not matter??

Hmmm not sure Sally think it's more important to make sure when you are mating that there are no heriditary problems in the line you are using I am sure someone who breeds will answer that question
I can only go by looking at say Louie's parents and the Stud was a solid gold with black mask and mum was a Gold/ White.

Now Daisy's litter had Gold/White and Black/Whites again Mum was a Gold/White dad was there but out in the run and I can't remember his colouring

    Hattie's litter were Brindle/Whites

The litter was made up with 4 Solid Golds and 2 Gold/White

When breeding you should look at what your trying to produce and what you are looking to improve, there is no guarantee that when you use a certain colour that is what you will get mum has a solid black and used a gold and white and produced 1 solid gold with a white front with black mask, 2 brindles with black masks and 1 solid chocolate with white front, but no parti colours

In the past I have mated two solid golds with black mask and the litter was two solid golds and a gold and white, you don't just bread for colour and take sire and dam on their overall merrits. Years back a well known person in the breed told me that solid golds were inclind to be the noisey ones and black and white and solid blacks more laid back and gold and whites very loving I dont know what you think out their about this. Brindle coats seem to be stronger and easy to keep than other colours but all mine are very loving. wendy

Louie is a solid gold and has a very large mouth by far the noisiest of my 3 he is also the most loving run a close second by Hattie who is very jealous and possesive of me and has the easiest coat and she is Brindle/White
Darling Daisy Gold/White is top dog and a proper Diva but I adore her
