    Helping the Charities

Post by Claire on Wed Aug 19, 2009 11:21 pm

Dogs Trust revealed in their 2008 Stray Dog Survey that for last year, the number of stray dogs dipped to below 100,000 for the first time. Whilst this is an improvement, it is still a significant figure.

There was also a reduction in the number of dogs who were unable to be rehomed and were put to Sleep.. but 6710 dogs is stil 6710 more than it should be.

Please take the time to show your support for these charities and rescue centres and the work that they do as they really are amazing.

This section is dedicated to helping them.

    group hug

Having met Clarissa Baldwin last year I fully undersdtand the work that these charities do.
Like the rescues for Shih Tzu the time and effort these people put in for free is vast and with no reward some might say except to see the new life a dog can be given.
Often these rescues have to dip into there own pockets to keep on going, I know Ann Craggs in the North does this often.
Maybe we could organise a fun day next year and donate all the molney to the rescues, I did one a couple of years ago and what we raised went between the different Shih Tzu rescues

We will have to find somewhere in the middle so we can all go as we live so far apart
We might even get a deal on a hotel for the night before

If we all put down where we live I will try and find somewhere in the middle where we can hold it
